The Brief

Searching for a way to extend the Donna Hay magazine presence across mobile devices, HarperCollins asked Love Agency to build an on-brand recipe app for multiple iOS devices. This publisher also required a simple way to update application content on demand.

The Results

Love Agency constructed a universal iOS platform that seamlessly extends the Donna Hay experience from print to devices. The products feature in-app shopping lists that automatically adjust units in response to user recipe selection, and synchs these lists across devices. All app content is controlled in-house thanks to an easy-to-use publishing platform.

Why It Matters

This project extends consistent Donna Hay branding to the already-familiar iOS platform, with the ease of use enhancing market adoption and expanding Donna Hay's market reach and penetration. The inclusion of synched shopping lists helps improve affiliate marketing opportunities by reducing purchase inertia. And the simplified publishing platform allows HarperCollins to insert new recipes and create in-app purchase packs without relying on external technical assistance.
